These projects are on the Clifton Campus of the University and are designed as part of a long term master plan for re-development of the site.

The first Academic Block was constructed for the Faculty of Education and comprises a four storey steel framed building with a ‘Slimdeck’ floor both to minimize the overall height of the building and create a clear void between the ceiling and floor structure for services.

collinshallgreen LTD designed and detailed all strudel elements and the underground drainage system, which included rainwater reclamation for use in the W.C’s.
Construction commenced in July 1999 and was complete in April 2000, slightly ahead of schedule.

The second Academic Block is for the Department of Informatics and was based on the same Architectural and Structural form as the first.  It was completed successfully in time for the 2005-2006 Academic year.

The Sports Centre comprises a 35 M span faceted steel portal frame to create a curved roof profile.  A rainwater reclamation system was also designed for this project, this time taking it one stage further by using it for toilets, hand basins, showers and the hot water heating system
